Your Guide to Practical Experience Blueprinting (book launch!)
We are beyond excited to announce the launch of our new book, Your Guide to Blueprinting the Practical Way.
This book is a long time coming.
When Erika and I set out to make service design more practical in 2015, we created a short little ebook on service blueprinting. Well, that little ebook has had over 30,000 downloads and led to thousands of people around the globe, from every industry, to leverage the practical blueprinting approach to transform their customer experiences and service delivery.
Earlier this year, we decided to revise the ebook to capture some of our insights gained over the past seven years of working in the field and hearing how others have used the method.
10 days later, after sitting down to write a simple update to our ~15-page ebook we had over 20,000 words and were still not done. Thus started our epic sprint to create what we decided was an important, comprehensive guide to the method.
And here we are, with all our knowledge encapsulated in what we believe is a succinct, but thorough book on experience delivery blueprinting—packed full of diagrams, graphics, case studies, and reference pages designed to help the reader really engage and use the content—and above all be practical, by design.
We are so thrilled to share this with you, and the world.
So, unlike most books out there, we have made the decision to release the book in its entirety for FREE as a PDF and EPUB. We believe this method truly is a powerful tool that anyone can learn, and we want it in as many hands as possible. Of course, you probably want to pick up a paperback copy to enjoy the beautiful, meticulously crafted design (please please validate all our hours of pain working in InDesign!!! 😅).
